We sampled a vanity of delicious food from tacos to local sweets, and in between Maria told us about the history of Puebla and the culture of Mexico. As well as food stalls in the centre,where we tasted huitlacoche (corn mushroom) and tacos arabesque, Maria took us to a market in the residential area we would have never found ourselves. We finished with the most surprising stop at an antique shop to sample home-made raisin liqueur. Forgetting for a moment the delicious street vendor treats, candy and ice cream, our walking and talking was so comfortable,informative, and stimulating that we truly did not want the tour to end.
